  • What is Patreon?

    Patreon is a subscription-based platform that helps independent creators earn income for their projects. For Witch, Please Productions, that means we offer exclusive content to our monthly subscribers and those subscribers (“Patrons”) fund the production of our show. We run entirely on income from our Patreon!

  • What do we offer on Patreon?

    We offer special perks! We release hours of bonus audio content to our six Patreon tiers, along with exclusive merch, video footage from our recordings, book recommendations from our digital projects coordinator, Gaby, access to our private Slack channel (where you can engage with our team directly at all hours of the day), and more!

  • Why should you join our Patreon?

    If you like our show then joining our Patreon is a no-brainer! For as little as $5 USD/month, you will:

    A) Get even more content! At every tier, we offer special perks in exchange for your monthly subscription. We aim to make every tier valuable so that no matter how you support us on Patreon, it’s worth it to you and you feel valued you by us (because you are!).

    B) Support our team! The show takes work to make and that work deserves pay! We pay our producer, our apprentice, and our engineer a living wage through our Patreon income! Patreon is what allows Hannah and Marcelle to make the podcast even while being full-time professors. And we pay ourselves a monthly stipend (that is not yet a living wage). With your help we can offer more security to our team, better pay ourselves as hosts, and keep growing Witch, Please Productions and our Patreon perks.

  • What Our Patrons Have Allowed Us To Do:

    Through the financial support of our nearly 1000 patrons, we have been able to:

    1. Hire a producer. Her name is Hannah so we call her Coach to make things easy/more fun. The labour of producing the show is now paid! Woohoo for living our values!

    2. Hire an apprentice. Her name is Zoe and she is a talented visual artist and Publishing grad student who creates comics for our Patrons, runs social media, and helps us become more accessible (see below!).

    3. Create transcripts. That was a top priority of ours and through Patreon income we were able to pay Zoe to make it happen!

    4. Develop a new website! You’re on it right now! And while it may seem like no big thing, it’s actually been a hugely helpful tool for people to learn more about our show, to find our transcripts/request transcripts of our OG run episodes, to learn more about our featured guests and to get their questions about Witch, Please answered!
