She has a BA in English from McGill University, an MA in English from the University of Guelph, and a PhD in English from the University of Alberta. Her research interests cluster around historical materialism, popular culture, and feminism. Her PhD thesis looked at early Canadian women's science fiction and fantasy writing as a tool for the circulation of white feminist politics. She is the co-creator and co-host of Witch, Please.

  • Raimi Marx | they/them

    CO-HOST

Raimi is a proud queer, genderqueer, disabled Mental Health Counselor, with nearly 2 decades of experience in direct support, advocacy, empowerment work, and LGBTQ DEI training and consulting. Their guiding star in working towards a more joyful and affirming world is to "be the person you needed when you were younger." When they're not busy falling down internet rabbit holes, they are on a tireless quest to befriend all animals in Boston and beyond.

  • Reese Carr | they/them

    RESEARCHER, ASST. PRODUCER

Reese is a queer and trans Ph.D. candidate in Women and Gender Studies at the University of Toronto. Their work focuses on queer and trans kinship, reproductive politics, the ethics of care, and family abolition. Their previous work has focused on trans parenting support in Canada, and the disappearance of community space for queer and trans parented families in Toronto. Their current work takes up how imagined and desired family formations are shaped by policy and social movements. When they aren’t surrounded by piles of books, Reese can be found tending to their vegetable garden, walking neighbourhood dogs, and throwing clay at their local pottery studio.
