Episode 15B: Curiouser and Curiouser

Welcome back, witches! Today’s episode wraps up our discussion of the second half of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and after this we’ll never speak of it again—at least, not until the next edition of play script gets published with all that sweet, sweet paratext you know we crave…….. Seriously, though, we’re stoked for the re-issuing of the post-production script with, like, photos and shit. But for now we make do with the incomprehensible stage directions and many, many title pages.

Dramatic reading background music once again care of Bensound. In fact, we like Ben’s work so much that this week the delightful tune “Cute” accompanies the Twitter list! And the melodious songstress singing “Sexyyyyyyyyyy” came from maurolupo.

  1. Hi guys! I have some responses for you. Firstly I saw the play in its pre screening time before the script was released and I still haven’t read the book itself. The casting of multiple characters as the same actor went totally over my head, I didn’t notice it at all! Ill have to save up to see it again so I can take note for you. The Hagrid scenes were quite brief and darkly lit as flashbacks and I didn’t notice he was the Sorting Hat actor therefore didn’t notice his skin colour. All I remember of Hagrid is his accent was a bit off.
As far as all the plot holes etc go, all I can say is that as a play viewer you’re taken on such an epic and fun ride you really do just suspend your disbelief and take it as face value entertainment. Or I did at least.
Love your show. Hope you come to London some time to see the play 🙂
